Contact rescue forces anywhere in the world. It's survival that fits in the palm of your hand. The TerraFix 406 I/O utilizes a global humanitarian Satellite Aided Tracking rescue system. There is no fee for using this Search and Rescue Satellite Aided Tracking (SARSAT) system. The unit transmits your exact coordinates with your unique coded signal to rescue teams via the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite systems. The onboard GPS acquires your latitude and longitude as soon as the unit is activated. Your exact position is pinpointed to within 100 meters (110 yards). Rescuers know who you are and where to look for you within minutes. The flat, stainless steel antenna wraps compactly around the unit for easy storage. It's easily positioned when needed. Two lithium battery packs ensure a minimum of 24 hours of transmission at sub-zero temperatures. It floats and is waterproof to 16.5 feet (5 meters).
